Key Hardware is one of Ireland’s leading wholesale distributors of architectural ironmongery and builders’ hardware products.

Based at our site in Belfast, a full time opportunity has arisen for an Operations Manager to join our team. The successful candidate will be enthusiastic, energetic and have a willingness to learn and develop new skills that will equip them for a successful career within a continuously growing company.

Key responsibilities for the role of Operations Manager will include:

  • Lead and motivate a multi-disciplinary team to achieve branch KPIs.
  • Use data analysis to monitor performance, identify inefficiencies, and implement improvements that enhance productivity, accuracy, and service levels.
  • Actively co-ordinate & assist in daily warehouse duties including picking orders, loading, unloading, goods inwards, stock checking,
  • Oversee warehouse operations including goods in/out, customer loading, and site tidiness.
  • Manage stock levels, rotation, and quality control.
  • Manage & maintain health & safety standards across the site.
  • Manage transport and logistics operations, including vehicle / driver compliance.
  • Monitor and report on branch performance, identifying areas for improvement.

What We’re Looking For:

  • Proven experience in operations or warehouse management, ideally in a merchant or trade environment.
  • Strong leadership and people management skills
  • Excellent communication and customer service abilities
  • Knowledge of ironmongery products (preferred).
  • Forklift licence and experience (preferred).
  • A hands-on, adaptable approach with a focus on continuous improvement.
  • Commitment to health & safety and operational excellence.
