We are looking to recruit an enthusiastic Internal Sales representative based at our Makerfield Branch. We are looking for someone who will maximise sales, build good relationships with customers whilst continually striving to exceed their expectations.

Key responsibilities will include:

*       Providing quotations for customers, Price customer enquiries and return same within required time.

*       Dealing with customers both face to face and over the telephone

*       Giving excellent customer service and sound product advice

*       Taking a proactive approach to timber product sales, using every opportunity to make or increase a sale.

*       Managing a portfolio of 50 + customers.

*       Generate new business with existing and new customers.

*       Upsell and gap analysis on existing customers.

*       Cold calling

*       Work to develop a positive relationship between Sales Representative(s), other Departments and customers to achieve best results for the company

*       Maintain and build relationships with all customers

*       Achieve monthly sales targets as set by the Branch Manager

*       Deal with all retail and trade counter purchases and enquires relating to hardware, building materials and timber sales

*       General housekeeping of the department to ensure all products are adequately stocked in a clean and presentable manner

*       Cash handling, operation of counter tills and computer system

The successful candidate will possess the following attributes:

*        Experience of working on a trade counter or customer facing role in a sales environment

*        Committed and passionate about providing excellent customer service

*        Target driven with a genuine passion for the customer

*        Ability to work both individually and as part of a branch team

*        Knowledge or a keen interest in building materials, hardware and timber
