Group Category Manager (Building Materials) - Newry

Job description

This is a fantastic opportunity for an ambitious and driven individual to join our Category Management team.  The successful candidate will develop and manage a portfolio of suppliers and products, both existing and new.  You will build and maintain relationships with our branches, providing the support they require in order to help them increase sales and profitability.

Key responsibilities of the Group Category Manager will include:

  • Supporting the Head of Purchasing and the Commercial team to deliver group strategies.
  • Negotiating and managing supplier agreements, securing the best products at the best prices.
  • Assisting in the ongoing management of a core range of products which will be stocked in all branches.
  • Maintaining group stocks in line with company policy.
  • Assisting Price Book in ensuring data is accurate on our computer system.
  • Assisting Purchase Ledger to resolve queries. 

The successful candidate will possess the following attributes:
