Based at our site in Belfast, a full time opportunity has arisen within the Warehouse Department for a Warehouse Operative. This position is for someone looking to develop their existing skills or learn new ones that will equip them for a career within one of the leading wholesale distributors of architectural ironmongery and hardware products.

Key responsibilities for the role of Warehouse Operative include:

• Create orders to meet customer requirements
• Deal with all supplier goods in and returns
• Ensure that all deliveries are accompanied by the appropriate paperwork
• Off-load and load supplier and customer distribution vehicles
• Advise the Warehouse Manager on any issues with stock levels and quality
• General housekeeping of the department to ensure all products are adequately stocked in a clean and presentable manner
• Ensure that every effort is made to secure the health and safety of both oneself and those affected by your acts or omissions

What do you need to be successful?

• Experience of working in a warehouse environment
• Ability to demonstrate knowledge of ironmongery and hardware products
• Strong customer service & communication skills
• Ability to work under pressure and to tight timescales
• Forklift license or willingness to obtain
