Transport Supervisor

We wish to recruit a Transport Supervisor to work out of our Morecombe Branch. This is an exciting opportunity for someone to really make a difference.
Key responsibilities will include:
Route planning for customer deliveries, liaising with Order Processing team to achieve order completion in full and on time.
Manage drivers and external hauliers to meet customer requirements in an efficient manner including customer and supplier collections.
Accommodate additional customer orders efficiently on a daily basis.
Manage loading teams to ensure safe and efficient loading of company vehicles, ensuring highest standards of load safety and presentation with particular importance to weight and load distribution.
Manage driver and loading teams to ensure the highest standard of Health and Safety.
Liaise with Order Processing teams to manage daily load checking.
Manage returns, downloads, filing, etc. of drivers’ tachographs.
Manage the day to day completion of vehicle checks, maintenance records etc., reporting any discrepancies.
Daily monitoring of vehicle management system for information on delivery times and performance
Manage onsite Health & Safety
Responsible for Stock Control

- A **Class 2 **License is desirable
- A good geographical knowledge of Lancashire
- Excellent customer service skills
- Proactive with a 'can do' attitude
- Excellent communication and organisational skills
- Previous experience in the same or similar face paced environment

Monday to Friday & alternate Saturday’s
