Internal Sales Representative

We wish to recruit an enthusiastic Internal Sales representative to join the team at our Garstang Branch. This is an exciting opportunity offering friendly hours, regular start times and an excellent working environment.

 

Main Duties and Responsibilities:

 

  • Providing quotations for customers, Price customer enquiries and return same within required time -Quote follow up.
  • Dealing with customers both face to face and over the telephone
  • Giving excellent customer service and sound product advice
  • Taking a proactive approach to timber product sales, using every opportunity to make or increase a sale.
  • Holding a portfolio of 50 + customers.
  • Generate new business with existing and new customers.
  • Upsell and gap analysis on existing customers.
  • Cold calling
  • Lead qualifying.
  • Quote follow up.
  • Work to develop a positive relationship between Sales Representative(s), other Departments and customers to achieve best results for the company
  • Maintain and build relationships with all customers
  • Achieve monthly sales targets as set by the Branch Manager Deal with all retail and trade counter purchases and enquires relating to hardware, building materials and timber sales
  • General housekeeping of the department to ensure all products are adequately stocked in a clean and presentable manner
  • Cash handling, operation of counter tills and computer system

General

  • Work within other departments as requested to meet customer demands
  • Participate in company stock takes ensuring an accurate count of all stock
  • Ensure compliance with all regularity and legal requirements
  • Co-operate and assist with other departments to achieve sales
  • Continually update your knowledge of products by participating in company and supplier training to achieve sales targets
  • Act all times with courtesy and goodwill towards customers to promote the best image of the company
  • Work overtime from time to time at the request of the Company.  This includes a flexible approach to start and finish times
