Join Haldane Fisher at a pivotal moment as we launch an exciting new Civils product range across our network. We’re looking for a dynamic, commercially-driven Group Civils Manager to take the lead in this brand-new role — shaping the future of Civils at Haldane Fisher.

The Opportunity

As Group Civils Manager, you will be at the forefront of developing and driving our Civils product offering — a key strategic focus for our future growth. You’ll be responsible for creating a compelling, complete Civils solution for our customers, building supplier relationships, expanding our product portfolio, and supporting our internal teams to deliver exceptional service and sales performance.

Key Responsibilities

  • Lead the growth and sales development of the Civils and related product categories across all relevant branches and customer segments.
  • Work closely with suppliers to ensure access to the full range of high-quality Civils products and bring them to market effectively.
  • Strategically target and develop key customer groups with tailored product solutions and commercial offers.
  • Provide expert product advice to both customers and internal teams to enhance customer experience, drive upselling, and increase margins.
  • Manage and convert quotations, with robust tracking of success rates and reasons for wins/losses.
  • Support the training and coaching of sales and branch teams to build knowledge and confidence in Civils products.
  • Stay ahead of market trends and competitor activity, attending supplier events and relevant training as required.
  • Collaborate through CRM, Data and teams to identify sales gaps and new opportunities.

What You’ll Bring

  • Proven experience in the Civils or Construction Products sector (ideally B2B or merchanting).
  • Strong commercial and business development mindset.
  • Excellent interpersonal and customer service skills.
  • Data-driven approach to managing performance and spotting opportunities.
  • Confidence using CRM tools and interpreting data to inform actions.
  • Ability to coach, influence and work cross-functionally with sales and branch teams.
