Position

Based at our site in Belfast, a full time opportunity has arisen within the Sales Department for a Business Development Manager.  The primary focus is on driving Sales and ensuring the highest levels of Customer service in an efficient manner.  The successful applicant will have the ability to create a strategy to identify and develop Key Customer Accounts. You will also use your industry knowledge and expertise to nurture solid partnerships for the future.

 

Scope

Reporting to the Branch Manager, the Business Development Manager will:

  • Support Sales Representatives within the Haldane Fisher Group in securing housebuilder contracts/orders.
  • Achieve monthly sales targets.
  • Forecasting revenue
  • Researching New leads and establishing new customers.
  • Deal directly with merchant accounts and responsible for sales orders.
  • Regular updates on CRM/Quotations
  • Regular checks on Key Hardware displays within the Group network.
  • Co-Operate and assist with other departments to achieve sales.
  • Co-Operate in regular company stock takes

What do you need to be successful

  • Excellent knowledge or experience of ironmongery and builders hardware products
  • Previous experience in a sales-based customer focused industry  
  • Committed and passionate to providing excellent customer service
  • Target driven with a genuine passion for the customer
  • Ability to work under pressure and to tight timescales
  • Strong negotiation and closing skills
  • Able to work both individually and as part of a branch team
  • Competent level of IT proficiency
