My job

Yard Operative   Location: Newry, County Down Hours: Monday-Friday, potential for Saturdays (5 days on-site)

This role is responsible for maintaining a clean, organised, and efficient yard environment, supporting daily operations through the safe handling, movement, and storage of materials. They play a key role in ensuring stock is managed correctly, vehicles are loaded and unloaded safely, and that health and safety procedures are followed at all times. This role requires good teamwork, strong attention to detail, and the ability to work effectively in a fast‑paced, outdoor environment.

What You’ll Do

  • Picking orders to meet customer requirements

  • Assisting and serving calling customers

  • Assisting yard personnel with the loading of customer and company vehicles

  • General housekeeping duties to ensure a tidy yard and production area

  • Adherence to Health and Safety procedures

What You Need (Essential)

  • Is committed and passionate about providing excellent customer service

  • Is a Team Player, with a positive ‘Can Do’ attitude

  • Is Hard Working and willing to Learn

  • Has a keen interest in Timber and Building Materials
